What is known today as West Cove Boat Yard was originally established in the 1920's as a primitive boat yard for local Sorrento families. The primary building from that time is still in use today for salt water storage.
In the 1960's, the boat yard was acquired by Buddy Trundy. He sold the yard to the West brothers in 1975 and it became the West Brothers Boat Yard.
In 1981, the yard was acquired by Stephen McMullen and renamed West Cove Boat Yard. Stephen continually upgraded the facility adding new shop space, storage buildings and equipment.
In 2007, Christopher LaRiviere purchased the boat yard and expects to continue to offer high-quality boat care. The emphasis of the business is making it easy for customers to have and enjoy their boats. With the depth of experience on the staff, WCBY loves the challenge of larger restoration projects and looks forward to the opportunity to do some boat building.
